At Asharika Foundation, we believe education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Through our day centers in Chandramandhura, Tungsung, Munda, and Cedars, we provide underprivileged children with access to learning, mid-day meals, and a nurturing environment. Our dedicated volunteer teachers, guided by experienced educators, ensure that every child receives the care and attention they deserve.
The closure of tea gardens has left many laborers without income or basic necessities. Our foundation actively supports displaced workers by providing them with food, healthcare, and essential supplies. We also work towards creating sustainable livelihood opportunities to help them regain financial stability and dignity.
Access to healthcare remains a challenge for many in the Darjeeling hills. To bridge this gap, we organize free health camps, providing medical check-ups, medicines, and health awareness programs. These initiatives ensure that underprivileged communities receive timely intervention and preventive care, reducing the risk of severe illnesses.
Beyond immediate aid, we believe in long-term empowerment. Our programs focus on skill development, women’s empowerment, and youth engagement, enabling individuals to become self-sufficient. By fostering a sense of community and resilience, we empower people to build a better future for themselves and their families
With each passing year, our reach continues to grow. Through unwavering dedication and community support, we aim to extend our services to more villages, open additional day centers, and provide aid to those in need. Asharika Foundation remains committed to being A Ray of Hope for the most vulnerable, ensuring that no one is left behind.
